About the series

Horizontal or vertical, self-priming or submersible, ARGAL's centrifugal pumps are made of selected and high-quality thermoplastics and fiberglass to transport the most corrosive and hard liquids.

The pump series can operate for process applications or auxiliary duties. 

ARGAL's front-running series, SATURNevo and relative.

Over the past decade, ARGAL focused on the R&D department and on the Productive processes to bring out the FRP projects. Today, the Company offers a complete range of high-quality and highly efficient FRP pumps, from AODD to centrifugal to sump types, to meet the requirements of seawater and corrosive applications.

ANSI/ASME B73.1 | Ex-proof

MATRIX range consists of single-stage centrifugal pumps compliant with ANSI/ASME B73.1 standards. The pump casing is made of FRP which does not require protective coatings or metallic armour. MATRIX series offer durability and strength at par with metal alloy construction. 

Three configurations are available: ZGS (long-coupled) and ZMS (close-coupled) and ZCS (compact close-coupled).

Capacities: up to 5943 GPM

Heading: up to 450 ft

Construction: close or long coupled, mechanically sealed

Materials: vinyl ester resin reinforced with fiberglass

(5 construction versions are available upon request)

 

Applications: 

MATRIX pumps are resistant to a broad list of corrosive and moderately abrasive chemicals. This series is mainly employed for seawater applications as an alternative to metallic pumps. They ideally operate in water treatment applications, seawater and freshwater aquarium, depuratoin of municipal and industrial wastewater, as well as in general productive processes using chemical fluids.

ANSI/ASME B73.1 | Ex-proof

This special sump series was designed to operate into waste and contaminated water treatments as well as into heavy processes. The pump is entirely made of fiberglass, offering a very high resistance, great robustness and a large range of temperatures from -35°C to +40°C without damaging the casing's mechanical strength. The length of the submersible column extends from 0,5 to 6m.

Applications: 

MATRIXsump series is a perfect combination of chemical resistance, mechanical strength, especially if operating in seawater applications (water and wastewater treatments, purification, desalination) or aquarium, marine parks, industrial processes using corrosive liquids.​

BASIS series is composed of small magnetic-driven pumps available into 5 models with threaded or hose connection. The small size, low noise and total absence of sealing components make these pumps ideal and reliable in any special equipment and environment.

Applications: 

BASIS pumps are commonly operating into water treatments, ice or drink vending machines. They can transfer seawater, freshwater, acids, alkalis and all corrosive / toxic fluids.

Ex-proof

PRIMA magnetic-driven pumps are made of reinforced thermoplastic or fluorinated polymers with internal components are made of ceramic oxides and carbon graphite with no metal part in contact with the liquid pumped. The combination of materials, the Ex-proof compliance and the various electric motor power rates make PRIMA full-fledged small chemical pumps.

Ex-proof | Dry-run patent

The ROUTE range made of high-quality thermoplastic pumps are available in two constructions: mag-driven or mech-sealed for pumping diverse range of chemicals with impurities and suspended solids. A patented system for dry running without damage is available for the magnetic driven version. ARGAL's ex-proof configuration make the series ideal for operating into explosive atmospheres.

EQUIPRO pumps made of thermoplastic techno-polymers have the hydraulic sution pipe downward and the tangential outlet pipe on the upper side of the baseplate. Two versions are available with different column length: HME (275 mm and 450 mm) and KME (from 600 mm to 1500 mm).

Applications: 

Designed for the pumping of aggressive liquids, EQUIPRO series can be installed with casing submerged in tanks, basins, reservoir as well as out of the liquid container (in this case, a second unloading connection between the pump and the container are necessary).

The K2 KGK series is composed of centrifugal pumps made of PP or PVDF designed for sump installations, with column and volute casing submerged in the liquid. The column length reaches up to 13 ft (ca. 4 m).

Applications: 

K2 series is made of extremely resistant materials for pumping aggressive and corrosive chemical agents: acids, hydroxide, salt, high acid mixing, hydrocarbons, alcohols, emulsions employed in the galvanic baths, scrubbers, cooling towers, wastewater treatments, thermal processes and similar applications with temperatures up to 194 °F (ca. 90 °C).

Our self-priming pumps boast the following important features: 

- pumping liquids with a specific gravity without reducing performance by installing electric motors of increased power; 

- the use of E-CTFE for magnetic versions (RHINO - ELK) offers an unparalleled chemical resistance if compared to other injection molded polymers. 

- the close coupled versions have standardized electric motor.

Applications: 

The self-priming process allows to carry the pumped fluid by aspiring air and then collecting the liquid. Our pumps are able to operate with higher suction length and shorter priming times than traditional self-priming pumps. Plus, our solutions are ideal for liquids with vapour, and heavy ones. The turbo pump RHINO can drag the following acids up to 20 ft (ca. 6 m) of negative suction: sulphuric 98%, chloridric 33%, nitric, phosphoric, sodium hypochlorite, caustic soda...
